Overnight Accommodation
We are able to provide overnight accommodation for students visiting Cheltenham either while touring the UK or visiting the university or other local educational establishment or event. A good way to think of it is as youth hostel style accommodation without the dorms. Instead of just a bed in a dorm we can - when available - provide you with a bed in your own fully furnished single room.
The maximum stay period for this type of stay with us is 5 nights. You can, of course, just stay for one night.
Meals
If you choose the single room option, an overnight stay includes breakfast. You can choose to also include an evening meal with your overnight stay.
Evening meals at Cheltenham Stay are cosmopolitan in character and eaten together as a family. Ruth is an exceptional cook who enjoys preparing dishes originating from many different nations. Rice is regularly on the table but so also is pasta and potatoes. Evening meals are served at 6.30 pm.
Breakfasts at Cheltenham Stay are generally English style with food laid out on the table for you to help yourself. Breakfast is available on weekdays between 7.30 and 8.45 am and at weekends between 8.00 am and 9.15 am. (Let Ruth know if you need to eat breakfast later or earlier than this).
If you choose the en-suite double room option, you have use of the kitchen and the dining room for self-catering.
Our rooms
Our rooms for overnight stays are pleasant single bedrooms or modern en-suite doubles.
All our rooms are well-equipped and comfortable. Each room has good hanging space, convenient chest of drawers and a writing table which is suitable also as a computer desk. We also provide each room with a towel rack. The rooms have good lighting and there's central heating for the colder months of the year.
Most of our rooms have internet access. Internet access is either by wifi (WLAN) or by network point (LAN). Of course, you will need to bring your laptop or notebook computer to take advantage of this.
Bathrooms
If you choose the single room option, you will find a bathroom with shower very close to your room. Each bathroom is clean and well-presented. There are separate toilet and sink facilities available for times when the bathroom may be busy.
If you choose the en-suite double room option, the en-suite is a contemporary-styled, well-equipped shower room.
Bed linen and towels
Bed linen is provided. Towels aren't usually provided but if you haven't got towels with you please ask and we can provide them.
Location
Our home is in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England and is conveniently located for getting to most study places - Inlingua, Gloucestershire College, University of Gloucestershire campus - and also the train station and the town centre.
Accommodation condition
Accommodation is provided on the understanding that you are an overseas student visiting and travelling in the UK.
